About Dr. Rushing, Founder of the Rushing Review

Dr. Rushing is a U.S. trained board-certified pathologist. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Pathology in both Anatomic Pathology and Dermatopathology. After graduating from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, she obtained her Masters of Public Health degree at The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she did melanoma research at The Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center.

She then completed her Anatomic pathology residency at The Cleveland Clinic Foundation and Dermatopathology fellowship at The University of Arkansas. She practiced in private practice dermatopathology for seven years before deciding to dedicate herself to teaching medical students full-time. She has been published in several journals including Human Pathology, The Journal of Cutaneous Pathology and Modern Pathology.

Dr. Rushing has taught medical school pathology to over 1000+ medical students and has also taught Introduction to Clinical Medicine primary skills, as well as a Comprehensive Basic Sciences Review preparatory course for boards. She has won multiple teaching awards from her students and has helped guide them in their study methods and resources to pass the Step 1 USMLE exam.
